Live Each Moment

According to the dictionary, a moment is “an indefinitely short period of time.”

Life is created by a series of moments.

In each moment, you can choose how to feel, how to respond, how to react, and how to stay still. In this day and age, when life seems to be moving at warp speed, many people are feeling overwhelmed. Keep in mind that feeling overwhelmed is having a sense being loaded or filled up with an excessive amount of anything.

If you are feeling overwhelmed with all the moments flying at you and past you during your day, take a moment and “hit pause.”

Breathe.

Just sit still for one minute and focus on your breath.

Notice the gentle rise and fall, like waves on a shoreline. In and out.

Notice how you feel now.

By simply breaking your state and being in the moment, perhaps you are now feeling a bit more calm. Maybe the chaos that was is no more or feels less stressful than it did. You can make time in any moment to take a breath and recalibrate.

What if you got so good at practicing this tactic that you started to notice all the little joys life presents each day, and what if each of those moments began to help fill you up with

a peaceful feeling.

Each moment, you can make a choice to align with or realign with your goals and dreams. Just because meetings and conversations don’t go as planned doesn’t mean they need to take you off your course.

Sure, sometimes an uncomfortable conversation requires venting to your pet or a trusted confidant (which may be your pet). It’s good to get it out of your system, in a way that allows you to feel heard, so you can move on and enjoy the next moment.

When you are sharing your story, remember to

focus on moving forward.

What’s next and what steps can you take to get there? Allow the ideas to emerge, go with the flow, take action, and live each moment with intention.

Remember, pausing to breathe is intentional action.

Enjoy each moment as you live into your best life.
